Honesdale Lodge No. 218, Free & Accepted Masons, was chartered in 1843 and has served Wayne County ever since.
Our home stands at the corner of Ninth and Main. Built in 1860 and known in its early years as Liberty Hall, the building was a gathering place for the community — in April 1861 it hosted the mass meeting that launched Wayne County's Civil War effort. The Masonic Hall Association acquired the building in 1917, and in 1920 the brethren added the third floor that gives it its present appearance.
Today the hall is home to Honesdale Lodge No. 218, the Anthony Wayne Royal Arch Chapter No. 204, and Savona Commandery No. 89.

Masonry is charity in action. Each summer our brethren fire up the smokers for the Annual Chicken BBQ on Main Street — one of Honesdale's favorite traditions and a cornerstone of our community giving.
Through the new Working Tools Scholarship, we support Honesdale High School students pursuing the skilled trades. And year-round, we live out the quiet work of a lodge: relief for those in need, and fellowship for those who seek it.
