The Working Tools Scholarship recognizes Honesdale High School students pursuing the skilled trades and technical arts.
For generations, Freemasons have taken the tools of the builder's craft as symbols of character. This scholarship turns that tradition outward, honoring the young men and women of our community who are learning to build well and build to last.
Eligible work includes metalwork, woodworking, stonework, machining, welding, sculpture, CAD, 3D printing, and related hands-on fabrication or technical arts.
Each student submits one completed, student-made work that thoughtfully and respectfully incorporates the Square and Compasses. No artist statement is required — the work speaks for itself.
Each submission must include a brief signed confirmation from a teacher, program supervisor, or other responsible adult attesting that, to the best of their knowledge, the work is the student's own. Submit your completed work and verification to Mrs. Davoli in the office at Honesdale High School.

Winners are honored at a reception hosted by the Lodge, culminating in a brief award presentation.
Awards reception: December 10, 2026, at Honesdale Lodge No. 218, Ninth and Main Streets, Honesdale.
